These trinkets can be used to obtain extra features in Mania Mode and Extras. In the Bonus Stage, a Medallion will be awarded to the player. In Sonic Mania, the player has access to 22 different areas that are not included in the main game. If Sonic falls off the platform, he will lose a life. The object of the game is to reach the center of the platform and collect as many rings as possible. These stages take place on a rotating platform with numerous obstacles in the way.
